"You must give birth to your images. They are the future waiting to be born....Fear not the strangeness that you feel. The future must enter you long before it happens...Just wait for the birth....for the hour of new clarity."
Ranier Maria Rilke
Birthing Spontaneous Imagery
In our ordinary ego mind we tend to strive and struggle to make things happen in our life - ignoring what needs and wants to unfold. As we let go of ego control during spontaneous art-making, we bring through a visual language of feelings that we might not understand yet. As we see our inner world - visually - on the outside through color, gesture, pattern, and movement, the possibilities for something the new to come into our existence is revealed.
Going with the Flow
There is a timing to how we need to unfold. There is a particular organic movement that can be explored through the metaphor of drip painting with a partner to explore.
